About the Basehor Sentinel

The Basehor Sentinel was formed in the late 1960s by residents of the community in an attempt to serve a need for greater communications. Shortly afterward, its operation was assumed by the Bonner Springs Chieftain and was owned and operated by Chieftain-Sentinel Publications for more than 29 years. In October 2000, The World Company, Lawrence, Kansas, purchased Chieftain-Sentinel Publications.
