Dr. William and Juanita Miller will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 2, with family.
Bill Miller and Juanita Ferranti were married Aug. 2, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo. A reception in their honor in Los Angeles was hosted by Juanita's mother, Pierina LoPiccolo.
Bill graduated from the University of MissouriKansas City School of Dentistry in 1950 and established a dental practice in Bonner Springs, retiring in 1990. Juanita is a homemaker and completed her associate's degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College in 1975. Prior to her marriage, Juanita was a dancer in Hollywood films and a Trans World Airlines hostess.
They have three children, Marie Kelly, of New York, and her husband, Jim; Marica Lage, of Kansas City, Mo., and husband Tom; and Bill Miller, of Bonner Springs, and wife Shelly.
They have eight grandchildren: William Kelly, Jay Kelly, Carolyn Kelly, Jeffrey Lage, Andrea Lage, Kathryn Lage, Sara Miller and Meghan Miller.
