A Salute to Hamburgers

The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame will sponsor "A Salute to Hamburgers" from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10. The family event will include a hamburger cook-off, trivia contest, and games in addition to information booths and other sources of information. All activities will take place on the grounds of the Ag Center, where one can visit Farm Town USA, ride the miniature train, explore the new exhibit on bees, visit the "new Hall of Fame, or review agriculture of yesteryear in the Museum of Farming. The hamburger cook-off is open to participants of all types, regardless of skill base or age and participants can be individuals, families, or groups. Call the Ag Center (913 721-1075) for additional information and to register (no cost to register for the cook-off and registration is open through Thursday, May 8). Admission is $7 - Adults; $6 - Seniors; $5 - Students, $3 - agest 5 - 16, and under 5 is free.
