A guest speaker at the Basehor Historical Museum this weekend will take a look at the path railroads have blazed through Kansas history.
William S. Worley, a history instructor for Metropolitan Community College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will give the presentation “Railroads in Kansas” from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 2806 155th St.
The talk will address how the development of railroads shaped the state's past and how rail will continue to play a role in its future.
Admission to the program is free. It is presented with the help of the Kansas Humanities Council.
