The city of Bonner Springs will say farewell to a longtime city employee with a retirement reception this week.
Jan Shannon is retiring as city treasurer after more than 27 years of service. A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the Bonner Springs City Council Chambers, 205 E. Second St. The reception is open to the public.
