The Sherman Township Fire Department is inviting residents to an open house this month.
The event will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the department's fire station, 170th Street and Kreider Road northeast of Linwood.
The open house will feature free food, fire and safety demonstrations, a fire safety house for children and an appearance by a rescue helicopter at 2 p.m.
