The Bonner Springs City Library will offer an interesting look into music and folk dance from around the globe next week with its “Yurtfolk” program.
The program, set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, is open to all ages. Participants will sing in different languages and dance together as they learn about different cultures along with some unique instruments. They also will learn about the nomadic lifestyle of a Mongolian herder with the aid of a doll-house (sized) yurt, as well as the Mongolian tradition of throat-singing.
Participants are asked to sign up in advance at the library. For more information, call the library at 441-2665.
Storytime ZumbAtomic also will be at the library at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday as well as Wednesday, Oct. 3. Preregistration is not required for this program.
