Basehor City Council to choose new president
Basehor City Council members will choose a new president at their meeting Monday night.
Former council president Bob Vervaecke resigned earlier this month after announcing he had purchased a home outside the Basehor city limits.
Mayor John Pfannenstiel appointed Julian Espinoza to fill the vacancy.
Espinoza will serve out the remainder of Vervaecke's term which expires in April.

Court services contract with Leavenworth County
Design changes for parking lot and front porch of city all to bring them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
Annual event calendar for 2001
Employee positions and wages for 2001
Vacation pay for exempt employees
City boundary ordinance
Cereal malt beverage and liquor license renewals
Workers' compensation renewal
An ordinance codifying city ordinances
Petty cash municipal policy statement
Spending authority municipal policy statement
A conditional use permit for Woodworking Cabinet Shop
The council will also meet in a closed-door session to discuss matters relating to attorney/client privilege and non-elected personnel.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Basehor City Hall.
