Funeral services for Teddy Lee Stephens , 64, Linwood, were Oct. 4, 2000, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery in Hillsdale, Kan.
Mr. Stephens died Oct. 1 at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born May 20, 1936, in Hillsdale, Kan. He was a 1963 graduate of Pittsburg State University and later earned his master's degree from the same university. He taught business at Bonner Springs High School from 1963 until he retired in 1995. He was a member of the Kansas State teachers Association, the Linwood Lions Club and the Walnut Grove Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Stephens of the home; a son, Todd M. Stephens, Bonner Springs; two daughters, Shari L. DeMato, Edwardsville, and Tedlana J. Sawalich, Kansas City, Kan.; four brothers, Vern Stephens, Bonner Springs, Gerald Stephens, Los Gatos, Calif., Charles Stephens, Bartelsville, Okla., and Don Stephens, Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Mildred Blackburn, Drexel, Mo., Muriel Miscke, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Velma Seuferling, Cameron, Mo.; seven stepchildren; and 23 grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
