Practice schedules set
After weeks of waiting, practice is almost here.
Bonner Springs High School fall sports teams will open practice sessions for the 2001 season on Monday, Aug. 13. Clark Middle School teams are slated to start practices on Thursday, Aug. 16.
All participants must complete a physical examination form, according to Garold Baker, athletic director.
Physicals will be given by Dr. Mike Teeple for all BSHS and CMS athletes from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, Aug. 11, in the media center at the high school. The cost is $20.
Practice starting times follow:
An organizational meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the BSHS media center. The first practice will be at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
An organizational team meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the high school gym. The first practice will be at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
The first practice will be at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the high school track.
The first soccer practice will be at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Edwardsville Community Park.
The first practice will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, at Lake of the Forest tennis courts.
Football and Volleyball
The first volleyball and football practices will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.
Actual games will get underway on Aug. 27 when the soccer team starts things off with a home game against DeSoto. The volleyball team will open the following day and football will kick off on Aug. 31.
Tennis and cross country will not start their competitions until the first week in September.
