Letter: County Commission faces underlying difficulties

November 21, 2001

To the Editor:

David A. Greenamyer needs to give the county administration issue a rest.

The real problems underlying the poor county management are the voters, the political parties and the business community. Our commissioners are overmatched by the job and many of us knew it when we elected them. Can you just imagine the administrator they might hire; could even be God forbid the county planner or some other "Moses" from Johnson County.

Our political parties and the business community ourselves included have let us down by not producing qualified candidates.

Before we hire an administrator, we had better elect qualified county commissioners.

An energetic county attorney would also be welcome.
