New bank branch opens in Basehor

June 19, 2002

The address is expected to change soon, but Community National Bank in Basehor is now open and ready for business.

The bank had a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, June 14, at its current location, 15520 State Avenue, near the Basehor shopping center. It officially opened for business June 5.

The location is a temporary site operating under a temporary-use permit for no more than 18 months, city officials said.

Community National Bank will construct a permanent building on the southeast corner of 158th Street and State Avenue.

"We expect it to begin this fall or early next spring," said Debbie Breuer, manager of the Basehor branch.

The bank is currently using a mobile unit until the permanent building is built. The permanent site will be a three-story building, Breuer said.

It will have a securities and mortgage department as well as community room, Breuer said.

Community National Bank is based in Seneca and has a branch office in Tonganoxie.

The lobby hours for the Basehor branch are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the drive-in open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The bank's lobby is open Saturday's from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the drive in 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
