Obit: Glenn Edward Arnett Sr.
Service for Glenn E. Arnett Sr., Houston, were June 1, at Crespo Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at SouthPark Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
Mr. Arnett died May 28, at his home in Houston.
Glenn was born Sept. 16, 1912, to Dr. Lonnie P. Arnett and Marie Sypp Arnett, in Wakeeny, Kan. He grew up in Lawrence, and served in the Kansas National Guard as a young man. He married Gloria Casper, Bonner Springs, Aug. 31, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz. The Arnetts have been Houston residents in 1950. Glenn founded Gem Cork Co. Inc. and was president of Gem Cork at the time of his death. He enjoyed making gemstone jewelry.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, Gailen Arnett and two sisters, Dorothy and Majora Arnett.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; a son, Glenn Edward Arnett Jr., and wife, Oksana; a grandson Stan Gabriel, son of Lonnie P. Arnett II, Houston; nephews, Ronald and Daryl Arnett, Mentone, Calif.; niece, Sharon Hopper, Palm Springs, Calif; and grand nephews and nieces.
