Obit: Letha V. Littlejohn
Services for Letha V. Littlejohn, 77, Topeka, will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel, Topeka. Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the chapel.
She died Saturday, June 22, at St. Francis Medical Center, Topeka.
Letha was born on April 8, 1925, in Speer, Okla. She was the daughter of William Dorn and Letha Tolbert Dorn. At the time of her death, she was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Hugo, Okla.
She married Virdie Littlejohn on Dec. 3, 1946. To this union, four children were born, Sylvia, Margaret, Alonzo and Howard.
She lived in Bonner Springs for 34 years. She worked as a cook at various schools in Bonner Springs. She retired as cafeteria manager at Clark Middle School. While living in Bonner Springs, she was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church.
After retirement, she moved back to Hugo, Okla., where she lived until June 2000. She then moved to Topeka where she lived until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Virdie Littlejohn, Topeka; two daughters, Sylvia Ensley and husband Clarence, Aurora, Colo. and Margaret Dean and husband Steve, Topeka; two sons, Alonzo and wife Debbie, Omaha, Neb. and Howard and wife Barbara of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, James, California; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.
