Obit: Harold Gordon Leeburg
Services for Harold G. Leeburg, 79, Miller, Kan., were May 13 at Miller United Methodist Church. Interment followed at the Osage City Cemetery.
Mr. Leeburg died Thursday, May 9, at Newman Hospital, Emporia.
Harold was born Nov. 13, 1922, at Miller, the son of Victor Allen and Edna Holmberg Leeburg. He graduated in 1940 from Miller High School. He spent his entire life in the Miller community, where he was a farmer and a cattleman. Harold was a member of Miller United Methodist Church and had served on the church board and in many other capacities of the church. He was the auctioneer for the United Methodist Women Bazaar. In his youth, he was a member of the Miller 4-H and remained active as a beef leader for many years. He had also served on the Miller School board. Harold married Helen Louise Lyon, on April 16, 1950, in Osage City.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Louise Leeburg, on Aug. 6, 1960; and his parents, Victor and Edna Leeburg.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; three daughters, Janice Marie Reinhardt, Bison, Jane Ellen Lashbrook, Bonner Springs, and Jill Lynn Megredy, Winfield; and six grandchildren, Elizabeth Pinkton, Amy Reinhardt, Lee Lashbrook, Sarah Megredy, and Hannah Megredy.
The family suggests memorials to Miller United Methodist Church.
