Bonee elected Basehor Chamber president
Basehor's newest Chamber of Commerce president Debbie Bonee sees bright things for Basehor and southern Leavenworth County.
"Everyone predicted that (the Kansas Speedway) would bring inevitable growth to our small town and we are now beginning to see that trend in southern Leavenworth County and in the Basehor area particularly," said Bonee who was elected earlier this month. "Increased commercial and residential development in Basehor is underway, and 2003 should prove to be a year of incredible change for our area.
"As Chamber of Commerce president, I am excited about the opportunity the Chamber has to play a lead role in insuring strong economic growth and quality of life in Basehor," she added.
In addition to Bonee, the Chamber of Commerce elected other new officers for 2003. They are Debbie Breuer, vice president; Virginia Williams, secretary; and Joe Thompson, treasurer.
