Brassie Bar and Grille nearing completion

July 31, 2003

The Brassie Bar and Grille, a new Basehor restaurant in the Falcon Lakes development, should be completely open for the lunch and dinner crowds by mid-August, said Dean Ralston, Falcon Lakes general manager.

Falcon Lakes is a residential development with 550 homes planned for construction and features an 18-hole public golf course located on Kansas Highway 7, just north of Leavenworth Road.

The bar and grille portion of the restaurant, located downstairs, is open from 11 to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Lunch prices range from $5 to $7 and dinners anywhere from $5 to less than $20.

The upstairs portion, which caters to the dinner menu, will be open for business by Aug. 15.

The restaurant, like the golf course, is completely open to the general public, Ralston said.

"We offer a casual dinner, a fun atmosphere and a good, quality menu," Ralston said.

The Brassie -- named after an old two-wood golf club will be housed inside the same 9,000-square-foot building as the golf course's pro shop, which is approximately 1,000 square feet.

The restaurant will staff 25 employees and will have multi-level seating up to 220 customers. The Brassie also caters to weddings, business luncheons and private parties, Ralston said.
