Obit: Marjorie Deane Foote

Services for Marjorie Lysinger, 86, St. Marys, were May 30 at the St. Marys United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Oakley City Cemetery, Oakley. The Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lysinger died Wednesday, May 2 at a St. Marys hospital.

Marjorie was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Gerster, Mo., to Harry and Eliza Kelley Foote. She graduated from high school in Osceola, Mo., and received a teaching certificate from Central Missouri State College. Marjorie taught school in a one-room school for two years and later worked many years in the Curiousity Shop and a drug store in Oakley. She lived in Oakley from 1956 until moving to St. Marys in 1995. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of St. Marys and the United Methodist Women's Group in Oakley. She married Claude Lysinger on March 29, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, on April 2, 1991; her parents; a sister, Edna Foote Lysinger; a brother, Bill Foote; and grandson, Craig Miller.

Survivors include two sons, Harry Fulwider, Lowery City, Mo., and Fred Lysinger, Cheyenne, Wy.; two daugthers, Shirley Miller, Bonner Springs, and Claudeane Lysinger Flanary, St. Marys; a sister, Mary Foote Desimone, Belton, Mo; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorical contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home.
