Obit: Keith Dunavin

Services for Keith Dunavin, 16, Tonganoxie, were May 24 at the Warren-McElwain Eudora Chapel, Eudora. Burial was in the Eudora Cemetery.

Mr. Dunavin died May 19 at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis.

Keith was born Oct. 11, 1986, in Kansas City, Kan., to Kenneth Calhoon and Paula Dunavin. He spent most of his life in the eastern Kansas area, including Eudora and Kansas City, Kan. He attended Perry Middle School, Perry, Kan. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Calhoon.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Kenneth Calhoon, Perry, Kan.; two sisters, Robin Calhoon and Brooke Calhoon, both of Kansas City, Kan.; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Roddy and Becky Dunavin, Perry, Kan.; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Oakes, Paola; paternal grandmother, Wanda Calhoon, Kansas City, Kan.; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Dunavin, Eudora; Lucky and Mary Bass, whom Keith lived with some of his life; three half-brothers, Ryan Calhoon, Jason Calhoon, and Brandon Calhoon, all of Leavenworth; one half-sister, Ashley Calhoon, Leavenworth; two step-sisters, Ashley Pruitt and Amanda Pruitt, Kansas City, Kan.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Keith Dunavin Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66047.
