On Dec. 13, the Friendship Valley 4-H club held its monthly meeting at the Lansing 4-H Building.
The flag salute was led by Blaine McDougal. Roll call found 15 members present.
The report for County Council was given by Tyler Lohman, who announced that County Club Days would be held Feb. 19 at the Lansing High School, the Spring & Garden Show would be held either June 11 or 25 and Oct. 29 would be the Countywide Achievement Night, all in 2005.
Co-community leader Karol Lohman announced that enrollment cards need to be turned in to either her or Nancy McDougal as soon as possible. In Standing Committee Reports, Tyler Lohman reported that the club decorated the Tonganoxie Nursing Home with lights and that he would be delivering the gifts the club members were donating to the nursing home later that week. For Special Committee Report, Blaine McDougal reminded everyone of the Christmas party, held Saturday. The Christmas party featured pizza followed by cosmic bowling.
In unfinished business, it was voted and approved to forward donations to Leavenworth County 4-H Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation. In new business, President Amy Ostermeyer appointed a committee for County Club Days. A demonstration on guitars was given by Grace Anderson, followed by recreation by Abe Buddish. Meeting was adjourned and treats followed. Next meeting is at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Lansing 4-H Building.
