New business offers variety of services

February 5, 2004

At some boutiques, a facial can cost $70 or more.

At Serene Facials, a new Basehor business, a facial is almost half that cost, said Melissa Greer, owner of Serene Facials and a licensed esthetician.

"Here I charge up to $45 for a custom facial," Greer said. "The prices are really reasonable for the services I'm offering."

Serene Facials opened Jan. 29; the new business is located inside Salon Images, 15516 Crestwood Drive.

Greer, a Basehor resident, said being located in a nearby community with a growing population were the primary reasons for choosing Basehor for her new business.

Greer said Serene Facials offers a variety of services -- to women and men -- including body waxing, facials, backand skin treatments and herbology treatments.

Thus far, the business has been received well by customers.

"I've had clients come in here and I already have people booked for every month," Greer said.

Serene Facials is open Tuesday through Saturday; hours, prices and services are subject to change. For more information, call (913) 724-8000.
