Lansing, thanks for the welcome
Lansing, thank you.
After last week's inaugural edition of The Lansing Current was delivered, we received a warm welcome from the community.
Comments we received about The Current were overwhelmingly positive, with many readers thanking us for giving Lansing its own newspaper, one that focuses on their hometown and its people.
That's exactly what we intended from the start, and that's what we plan to continue to do. But it's equally important that readers keep letting us know how we're doing.
When we hear from readers, we have the best possible guide for making The Current the best, most relevant source of information for Lansing, both in print and on our Web site.
We ask that you'll continue to send us your feedback to email@example.com
We also want to repeat that a key part of making The Current the best possible paper for Lansing is to give readers a place to air their views.
So here's another gentle reminder.
We encourage you to send in letters to the editor, guest columns and ideas for stories.
The Current also wants your submissions of milestone events such as announcements of weddings, births, engagements and anniversaries.
We have forms on our Web site, lansingcurrent.com, for submitting milestone announcements online.
We've started receiving submissions from readers for our Service Gallery (a salute to local men and women serving in the armed forces), and for the Lansing in Fall photo contest. These are all welcome and we want them to keep coming.
All those pieces help the newspaper reflect the life of the community and its residents, and that is the ultimate goal of The Current.
