Ada Frances Hammock, 76, Basehor, and formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. Services were Monday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs with burial following in the Grace United Methodist Cemetery in Jamestown, Mo. A visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tonganoxie Christian Church in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012, (913) 422-4074.

Mrs. Hammock was born July 16, 1928, in Columbia, Mo. She was married in 1947 to Ernest F. "Mick" Hammock and together they lived in several different places before settling in Kansas City, Kan., near the Welborn Lake area in the 1950s. She recently moved to the Basehor area to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years in 2003. She is survived by one sister, Venus Rader, Columbia, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Florine Henley, Basehor; Bonnie Blepp, Brecksville, Ohio; Agnes Goeth, Shiner, Texas; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
