Lacrosse club continues winning
The County Lacrosse Club, formerly Lansing Lacrosse Club, improved to 4-1-1 and ran its winning streak to four in a row with a 16-1 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday at Fort Leavenworth.
Kyle Kunkel led the way with seven goals; Sean Blew scored five and Chris Hansen added two in the victory. Travis Connell and Eric Fain scored one goal apiece. Goalkeeper Rachelle Moss had 11 saves in the match.
The Lacrosse Club has outscored its opponents 55-16 this season and is gearing up for a gauntlet week where it will play three matches.
It plays at 5 p.m. Monday at Shawnee Mission South, at 5 p.m. Tuesday against Rockhurst at Fort Leavenworth and at 5 p.m. Thursday at Olathe.
