Gilbert A. Graf
Mass of Christian Burial for Gilbert A. Graf, 47, Kansas City, Kan., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
Mr. Graf died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
He was born July 31, 1957, in Hays, the son of Delphinus and Cecilia Katherine (Dinkel) Graf.
Mr. Graf was a cashier at Price Chopper at the intersection of 78th and State streets in Kansas City, Kan., for many years. He enjoyed horses, bowling, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by son Lawrence Graf, Lansing; daughter Amber Duarte, Edwards, Mo.; six brothers, Joe Graf, Woodson, Steven Graf, Hays, Duane Graf, Alton, Paul and Jerry Graf, Stockton, and Robert Graf, Leavenworth; six sisters, Rose Henry, Leavenworth, Mary Ferguson, Lansing, Susan McKinzie, Bonner Springs, Betty Westenberger, Leavenworth, Joyce Karlin, Hays, and Sheila Melton, Nebraska; his former wife, Becky Graf, Lansing; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Beldon-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel, 500 Oak St., Leavenworth. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friends may call after 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
