Bank offers seminar for small businesses

Commerce Bank is offering Success Strategies for Small Business, a free Web seminar series designed to deliver advice to help support small-business owners.

"These seminars bring the expert to your home or business," said Bill Petrie, community bank president, Commerce Bank. "Since they are Web-based, you avoid the hassle of driving across town to attend a seminar. And, if the scheduled times for the live seminars are inconvenient, you can view the archived presentations during a time that works best for your schedule, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

The series of six Web-based seminars is focused on addressing what it takes to manage and grow a business. Speakers for each seminar are experts in their fields.

The series kicks off at noon today, April 28, with "Building a Great Business by Hiring and Retaining Great People." Upcoming seminars topics include: "Reduce Your Coverage Costs: Health Care and Workers' Comp"; "Unlocking the Secrets to QuickBooks; Avoiding the Seven Problems That Can Derail Your Business"; "Buy Your Building and Become a Landlord: When Does Buying Make Sense?"; and "Your Family Business: Succession Planning for Financial Success."
