Road project items fill agenda

Lansing City Council members meet at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 1, at City Hall, 800 First Terrace. Here's their agenda:

Consent calendar

¢ Consider approval of minutes from the council's Nov. 17 meeting.

New business

¢ Mayor Bernard will present employees with their annual merit pay awards

¢ Police Chief Steve Wayman will present Officers Billy Blackwell II and Fred Grenier with badges signifying promotion to the rank of sergeant.

¢ Consider a utility relocation agreement with Souther Star Central Gas Pipeline Inc., to allow work on East Eisenhower Road.

¢ Consider a resolution certifying acquisition of right of way, arrangement for utility relocation and commitment of local funds for the East Eisenhower Road improvements. The resolution is a requirement for projects receiving federal funds.

¢ Consider authorizing the mayor to sign a Certification of Real Property Acquisition Procedures for the East Eisenhower Road project. The certificate is required by the Kansas Department of Transportation.

¢ Consider revisions to emergency snow routes.

¢ Consider an appointment to the Leavenworth County Fire District No. 1 Board of Trustees.

¢ Consider six appointments to the Lansing Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

¢ Consider three appointments to the Lansing Tree Board.

¢ Hear a presentation by representatives of Jeffrey L. Bruce & Co. regarding the Lansing Community Park master plan.
