Kenneth J. “Buck” Pellman Jr.
Leavenworth Services for Kenneth J. "Buck" Pellman Sr., 84, Leavenworth, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial with military services will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Lansing.
Mr. Pellman, a lifelong Leavenworth resident, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at his home.
He was born March 9, 1921, in Leavenworth, the son of Henry "Fritz" and Anna (Burke) Pellman. He attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, Immaculata High School and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years.
He married Rosemary Buckley on Nov. 19, 1947, in Leavenworth. She died Aug. 20, 1994.
Mr. Pellman served in the U.S. Army-Air Force in World War II. He retired from GNB Battery after 30 years of service. He was a life member of the Elks and Eagles.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Pellman Jr., Leavenworth, and Larry Pellman, Lawrence; a daughter, Kathy Greenamyre, Roeland Park; four grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Timmons, Overland Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The family suggests memorials to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or American Heart Association, sent in care of the funeral home, 707 S. Sixth St., Leavenworth 66048.
