Services for Diana L. Long, 56, Kansas City, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, Leavenworth, with inurnment at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March , at Mount Muncie Cemetery.

Mrs. Long died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 25, 1948, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Edward J. and Flora M. (Johnson) Byrd.

Mrs. Long had worked as a secretary at The Mortgage Store in Kansas City.

She married Richard A. Long on June 16, 1971, at Miami, Okla., who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Charles K. Henshaw, Leavenworth, and Richard A. Long Jr., Kansas City, Kan., two stepdaughters, Teresa McClain, Edgerton, Mo., and Lisa Bergantine, Lee's Summit, Mo.; a sister, Deana D. Woodward, Leavenworth; two brothers, Richard S. Byrd, Oskaloosa, and James D. Byrd, Kansas City, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to American Lung Association, sent in card of the funeral home, 707 S. Sixth St., Leavenworth 66048.
