Planning Commission to host hearings
The Basehor Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 to discuss items continued from its February meeting.
Items before the Planning Commission Tuesday night include three public hearings regarding a single development.
Tomahawk Valley, a 94-acre development located between 155th and 158th Streets north of U.S. Highway 24/40, will include 106 single-family homes, 44 duplexes, 17 four-plexes and 57 patio homes when completed.
The planning Commission will decide on the development's preliminary plat and preliminary development plan.
Members will also consider a request for rezoning Tomahawk Valley from suburban residential and planned industrial to planned residential.
Miles Excavating, a Basehor company, is the developer behind Tomahawk Valley.
At the Tuesday meeting, the company will also seek Planning Commission approval to rezone approximately 10 acres of land adjacent to Tomahawk Valley from planned industrial to general business district.
In another item of business, Miles Excavating will also seek approval of its final plat for Wolf Creek Industrial Park, located on 95 acres at 150th Street and Highway 24/40.
