Sub-state basketball brackets released

February 27, 2005

The Lansing High boys' and girls' basketball teams wrapped up their regular seasons with losses at Bonner Springs on Thursday night. Now they'll have their shot at redemption when sub-state play begins this week.

The fifth-seed Lansing girls (10-10) will travel top Seaman High School in Topeka for a 7 p.m. game Wednesday against the fourth-seed Vikings (13-7). The winner likely will play top-seed Shawnee Heights (19-1) on Friday night.

The seventh-seed LHS boys (7-13) will travel to No. 2-seed Gardner-Edgerton (16-4) for a 7 p.m. Thursday game. The winner will play either Mill Valley (15-5) or Seaman (11-9) on Saturday.
