Annexation injunction request dropped

January 6, 2005

There will be no court injunction barring the city from providing services in newly annexed areas of Lansing.

City Administrator Mike Smith said a hearing on the injunction Monday was cancelled after plaintiffs Mark Strein and Herman Visocsky withdrew the request.

The lawsuit challenging the annexation still remains. A hearing on the case is set for Feb. 25.
