Council to consider purchasing mowers

A short agenda awaits the Lansing City Council for its meeting Thursday.

Council members will consider approving a total outlay of $26,638 for the purchase of two mowers for the Parks and Recreation Department .

The department sought bids on two mowers - a 72-inch front deck mower with a collection system and a 48- to 54-inch zero turn mower.

Coleman Equipment, Bonner Springs, submitted the low bid on each: $18,250 for the 72-inch mower and $8,588 for the zero-turn mower, according to Jason Crum, director of Parks and Recreation.

The council meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in its chambers at City Hall.
