Council, Planning Commission to meet
Proposed changes to Lansing's Comprehensive Plan will be the topic of a joint study session of the Lansing City Council and Planning Commission.
The session is slated for 7 p.m. today, July 28, at City Hall, 800 First Terrace.
Planning commissioners will present proposed changes to the transportation and community facilities, two of six "modules" of the document. The Comprehensive Plan is a planning blueprint for growth of the city.
In a memo to City Administrator Mike Smith, Community Development Superintendent John Jacobson said, "The majority of the changes are to the intent of the document."
Before any of the changes to the document are accepted, they will be presented to the public in a formal public hearing, which has yet to be scheduled.
