Court hearings scheduled in two local drug cases
Two men arrested by Basehor police on drug charges recently appeared in Leavenworth County District Court.
Brian Lee Wallace, 38, Lawrence, is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and having no drug tax stamp. John Robbins III, 48, Oskaloosa, is charged with distribution of opiates, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
Basehor police arrested the two men earlier this month after allegedly finding drugs and other paraphernalia in their vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
Wallace is scheduled to appear in court with an attorney at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 6. Bill Winzenburg of the Leavenworth County Victim Witness Office said the court will appoint Wallace an attorney. Robbins, who already has a court-appointed attorney, will have a preliminary hearing at 11 a.m. July 6.
