Bond fire

March 17, 2005

To the editor:

I hope all of you had the opportunity to witness the excitement and enthusiasm at the "Bond Fire" on the proposed site of the new elementary building this past weekend. Hundreds of patrons enjoyed food, entertainment and information - it was a great event with positive community spirit. It was great seeing children playing in the field that would be their new playground if the upcoming bond issue passes on April 5.

It is the time for us to move forward in a positive manner and address our students' needs. By building a new K-5 elementary and an auditorium at the high school, we will be able to enhance our children's ability to compete in the future, both academically and in the arts. As our parents did before for us, we must now do for our children. Pass this bond issue while the interest rates are in our favor. The time is right - do not miss your opportunity to vote for your kids, your future!

Sincerely,

Carolyn E. Jaqua
