Summer reading challenge goes medieval
The summer reading challenge at Lansing Community Library is going medieval this year.
Participants will read books pertaining to theme "Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds." Registration began Wednesday at the library, 108 S. Second St., with the knighting of participants by a performer from the Renaissance Festival.
The reading program will continue to July 23. Until then, participants will try to read as many books as possible, all from the library, that include elements such as dragons, trolls and magic. To register and receive a challenge form, stop by the library.
Prizes for the summer reading challenge will be awarded July 30 at the library.
