KU small-business group offers consulting services
Leavenworth Area Development and the Kansas University Small Business Development Center are teaming to offer business consulting services to existing and prospective business owners in Leavenworth County.
The individual consulting services are free.
"We are extremely pleased to have the KU-SBDC working so closely with LAD," Lynn McClure, director of Leavenworth Area Development, said in a news release. "Their services are very useful to small companies in the areas of business management. SBDCs nationwide have an excellent reputation for providing excellent services."
The KU Small Business Development Center will have an employee work out of the LAD offices one afternoon a month who will be available for appointments at other times. The employee will be in the office on June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3.
"The relationship with LAD is a very productive one for us," said Curt Clinkinbeard, director of the KU Small Business Development Center. "We provide services to clients in Leavenworth County but often do not have an office to use as our home base. With LAD's new facility, they had an office available for our use, making it much easier to deliver services. We think it will really impact our ability to reach the small businesses of Leavenworth County."
