Festival committee to unveil 'Days' logo

A committee of residents organizing Basehor Dairy Days -- an upcoming fall festival -- will unveil a logo Tuesday, Oct. 4, that will be used to promote the festival.

The unveiling will take place at 8 a.m. at Basehor-Linwood High School. The artist who designed the logo will be awarded a check by the committee and town Mayor Chris Garcia at the high school.

In other festival related news, the Basehor Historical Society announced this week that it will sponsor entertainment for the event.

Heart of America Indian Dancers will perform for one hour, according to the historical society. The group will be paid through a state grant the historical society received.

Historical Society selling personalized bricks

Reserve a prominent place for yourself in history by buying a personalized brick to be placed at the future site of the Basehor Historical Society Museum and Conference Center on 158th Street.

Bricks may be purchased in your name or for a child, friend or company. Costs for the bricks range from $50 to $250. Money raised through the brick sales will go toward construction costs of the museum and conference center.
