Main Street hires director
When businesses in the Leavenworth Main Street encounter a problem, they can turn to the group's new executive director for some first-hand business experience.
Tamm Masoner, who started her new job last month, has a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, where she majored in journalism and interior design.
Previously, Masoner had been a small-business owner in Neodesha, where she was a member of the Kansas Main Street program and received the Kansas Main Street Award for Business Expansion in 2004.
Masoner and her family have been Leavenworth residents since August 2005. Since moving to Leavenworth, she has worked at the Leavenworth school board office and has been teaching two business classes at Leavenworth High School.
Masoner plans to work to promote partnerships between the Main Street program and the local school system as well as the Spouses Club at Fort Leavenworth.
