LIS fifth-grader wins PTA award
Brianna Lozenski seems to have a handle on community service, based on the success of an essay she wrote.
Brianna, a Lansing Intermediate School fifth-grader, entered the Kansas Parent-Teacher Association citizenship essay contest last fall, writing a response to "Community service is important because :."
Her essay won first place at the local and regional levels and earned a State Award of Merit from the PTA. She will be honored for her achievement at the State PTA Convention in April.
