Army Spec. Brett T. Dolinski has returned to Fort Stewart, Ga., after being deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dolinski is a member of Task Force 4th-64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division.
Dolinski, a supply specialist with eight years of military service, is the son of Theresa Bolin of Lansing. He is a 1998 graduate of Lansing High School.
Carolyn A. Lohman has been selected for promotion to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Lohman is a commander assigned to the 934th Mission Support Flight, Minneapolis, Minn. She is the daughter of and Caroline M. Camp, Lansing, and Benedict L. Lohman Sr., Fairway.
In 1975, Lohman graduated from Immaculata High School, Leavenworth. She received a bachelor's degree in 1979 from Washburn University, Topeka, and she earned a master's degree in 1984 from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.
Army Pvt. Randy Winchester has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky.
During the nine-week training period, Winchester received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history, traditions and core values.
Winchester is the son of Randy Turner of Leavenworth and nephew of Betty Sanders of East Chicago, Ind. He is a 2005 graduate of Lansing High School.
