Obituary: JB (Butch) Stinnett Jr.
JB (Butch) Stinnett Jr., 52, of Basehor, formerly of Bonner Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Services were Tuesday at Village West Assembly of God Church, 2205 N. 102nd Street, Kansas City, Kan. Burial was in the Leavenworth Veteran's Administration National Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the J.B. Stinnett, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of Mutual Savings Association, P.O. Box 274, Bonner Springs, Kan.
Mr. Stinnett was born April 2, 1953, in Kansas City, Kan. He was a lifelong resident and had enjoyed coaching and playing basketball for many years. He also enjoyed being involved in Habitat for Humanity in Bonner Springs. He served in the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Aldersgate Free Methodist Church in Kansas City.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Pam Stinnett; two daughters, Hollie Mae Becker of Leavenworth, and Jae Bea Stinnett of the home; a son, Nathan Rae Stinnett of the home; his mother in law, Wilma Ward, of the home; his father, J.B. Stinnett Sr. of Perry; three sisters, Vicky Frost, Shawnee; Lillian Rester, Florida; and Patty Trickett, Bonner Springs; two brothers, Terry Stinnett, Florida, and Joe Stinnett, North Carolina.
