Leavenworth County focus of edition
Officials from municipal government and the Basehor Chamber of Commerce are cooperating to produce an advertisement for a magazine that chronicles "the changes in the Kansas City metropolitan area."
Ingram's magazine, which has been in production for more than 25 years, covers the region with an emphasis on business and news.
The magazine is prepping for its "Focus on Leavenworth County," which will appear in March.
The city and local chamber of commerce are pooling resources to promote Basehor as an attractive area for people to live and for businesses to move.
Last year, the chamber sponsored a one-page ad in the magazine.
This year, officials expect to deliver expanded coverage.
Final details of what the content for this year's advertisement will look like have not yet been finalized.
However, Breuer said the city's display would lean heavily toward promoting the local community as well as "how close we are to destinations" like Kansas City International Airport and the Village West shopping and tourism district.
The city and chamber of commerce are sharing costs for placing the advertisement in the focus.
