Hospital board adds new members

Three area individuals have recently been appointed to the board of directors of Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., and Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth.

The new board members are Rosana Privitera Biondo, Sister Pam Hinkle, and Sister Linda Roth.

Privitera Biondo has been with Mark One for 29 years, becoming its president in 1994. Under her leadership, the business has become one of Kansas City's top 10 electrical contractors.

Privitera Biondo is a native of the Kansas City area, where she and her husband, Anthony J. Biondo, are raising their son.

Sister Linda Roth serves on the Council for the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, where her duties include being on the boards of Cristo Rey Kansas City, University of Saint Mary and Mount Saint Vincent's Home in Denver. Roth had directed a job training program at El Centro in Kansas City, Kan. and served as campus minister for Saint Mary College.

Sister Pam Hinkle has served as a physician assistant with St. Vincent's and the Duchesne Clinics since 1998. She has a master's degree in gerontology from the University of Southern California.

Other board members are Charles W. Thurston, president of Action Coffee Service, Inc., the Rev. Jimmie Banks, pastor of Strangers Rest Baptist Church; Irene Caudillo, director of Children and Family Services, Catholic Charities; William F. Crandall, president, Crandall & Co.; Peter Cristano, M.D., a family practice specialist; ophthalmologist Frances Foster, M.D.; surgeon Lee Ludwig, M.D.,; Maureen Mahoney, attorney working in child welfare; Jim Paquette, CEO, Providence and Saint John; J.R. Reilly, president of Reilly & Sons Insurance Agency.
