Roy Earl Ruch Sr.
Services for Roy Earl Ruch Sr., 81, Leavenworth, were Tuesday, June 6, at Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth. Burial was in Mount Muncie Cemetery, Lansing.
Mr. Ruch died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at his home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Falls City, Neb., the son of Gustave Frank Ruch and Maudie Opal Honea Ruch.
On Oct. 2, 1948, in Leavenworth, he married Margie Louise Werner. She died March 6, 1996.
Mr. Ruch worked for the city of Lincoln, Neb. After coming to Leavenworth, he worked for the Leavenworth Street Department, Leavenworth Auto Parts, where he was supervisor and later for Wal-Mart.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Bowman, Lansing, Donna Marie Ahrndt, Leavenworth, and Barbara Joann Richter, Easton; three sons, Roy E. Jr., Espanola, N.M., Frank G., Leavenworth, and Charles E., Janesville, Wis.; a brother, Donald L., Alto, N.M.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A daughter, Sharon Kay Grady and and a great-grandchild died earlier.
The family suggests memorials to the Roy E. Ruch Sr. family, sent in care of the funeral chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth.
