Opinion: Kansas weather
Mother Nature’s reminder
That's Kansas weather for you: just when you get to thinking that spring is just around the corner, Mother Nature delivers an admonition against such premature celebrations.
So, we shiver and wait. But never fear: the earth has once again begun its annual tilt to move our northern latitudes closer to the sun and its warmth.
Technically spring began Monday with the vernal equinox, that point in the sun's annual travels when nights and days are of equal length. Judging by conditions outside, one could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Nevertheless, the wheels of change are set in motion: spring, and welcome warmth, will, at last, come.
