Eleanor D. Catron-Tayler

— Services for Eleanor D. Catron-Tayler, 81, Leavenworth, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, Leavenworth. Burial will follow in Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mrs. Catron-Tayler died Monday, May 22, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Harry and Daisy (Cummings) Laughery.

She married Otis E. Catron. After his death she married Richard R. Tayler in 1959 in Kansas City. He died Jan. 10, 1991.

Mrs. Catron-Tayler had worked for Sunshine Biscuit before she raised her family. She was known for her baking, especially her rolls and pies.

Survivors include four daughters, Lynda Walter, McLouth, Sherry Catron, Leavenworth, Norma Chester, Edwardsville, and Tammera Tayler-Chaney, of the home; two sons, Danny Catron and Kenneth Catron, Basehor; a sister, Nadine Davidson, Shawnee Mission; and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Four sons, Otis, Larry, Bobby and Walter Catron, four grandchildren, and two infant great-grandchildren died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the family, sent in care of the funeral home, 707 S. Sixth St., Leavenworth 66048.
