Imaging center opens in KCK

November 16, 2006

The Kansas City Imaging Center, a partnership between Providence Medical Center and United Imaging Consultants, has opened in Kansas City, Kan.

The center is at 11011 Haskell, Kansas City, Kan., near the intersection of 110th Street and Parallel Parkway (just northwest of the intersection of Interstate 435 and Interstate 70), near the Legends, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Cabela's.

The center offers state-of-the-art digital screenings with radiologists on-site to provide immediate results of mammograms.

Advantages of digital mammography, according to officials with the center, include faster exams, more accurate detection of breast cancers, lower radiation dose and computer-aided detection that obtains a second, computerized reading. Also, computerized mammograms may be archived in various ways, easily retrieved and copied exactly.

For more information, call the center at (913) 667-5600 or visit www.kansascityimaging.com.
