Head coach, junior tight end expected to be OK

Basehor-Linwood High School coach Steve Hopkins missed Friday’s game against Tonganoxie because of illness and junior tight end/defensive end Jacob Schierbaum was injured shortly after halftime and had to be taken to the hospital. The shorthanded Bobcats lost to the undefeated Chieftains 35-0. According to assistant coach Dave Svoboda, both Hopkins and Schierbaum are expected to be OK.
